Hosokawa Alpine supplies systems for
grinding,
sieving and air classifying to the animal feed industry
on an international basis. Alpine fine impact mills UPZ
are characterised by high end-product finenesses and throughput
rates, especially for products containing fat such as
flesh and chicken meal. Fish food is a product that places
special demands on the processing, because it usually
comprises a mixture of fish meal and additives such as
shrimps and greaves. |
The fish food pellets suitable for small and ornamental fish
call for extremely high grinding finenesses, and these are achieved
with our Zirkoplex classifier mills. The end-product fineness
values can be adjusted steplessly as a function of the speed.
Because sand inclusions can never be ruled out in the case of
shellfish, a certain degree of wear to the grinding/classifying
elements must be expected. This is why these machine components
are protected with aluminium oxide elements.
